Coach Marcus: From Fighter to Head Coach of Kingdom Martial Arts Academy
Coach Marcus’s journey is a powerful story of transformation, legacy, and dedication to the art of Muay Thai.
Before he ever stepped into leadership, Marcus went through his own personal transformation. He once battled with his weight, but through discipline, training, and persistence, he shed the pounds and rebuilt his body. His weight loss success is more than a physical achievement—it’s a living example to students that perseverance and consistency lead to real change.
Marcus’s lineage in Muay Thai is extraordinary. Both of his parents were fighters and coaches who lived and trained in Thailand at the world-famous Sitjaopho Muay Thai Gym. His father rose to become the top-ranked fighter in his weight class, while his mother earned the Hua Hin Stadium Championship title. Growing up surrounded by their influence, Marcus absorbed not only their techniques but also their values—respect, humility, and a deep love for Muay Thai.
His own fighting journey took him through both amateur and professional ranks, where he built experience, resilience, and skill. Over time, he gravitated toward the Muay Femur style—an intelligent, technical approach to Muay Thai that emphasizes timing, precision, and strategy. This style, known as the art of outsmarting and outmaneuvering opponents, has become his specialty and signature teaching method.
Today, Marcus carries the torch of both his family’s legacy and Kingdom Martial Arts Academy’s mission. Stepping into the role of new owner and head coach, he blends his personal story of transformation, his competitive experience, and his family’s lineage into a unique approach to coaching. His vision is to grow an academy where every student—whether stepping on the mats for fitness, self-defense, or competition—has the chance to transform themselves through Muay Thai.
At Kingdom Martial Arts Academy, Coach Marcus continues the legacy: preserving the heart of traditional Muay Thai while preparing the next generation to stand strong—in the ring, in life, and in themselves.
